This 1950s postcard, sent in by Clayton Scott, class of 1961, shows the main building when it was a hotel. The detail above, taken from the back of the postcard, shows how the school converted these hotel postcards to postcards for the school. The original description, printed in blue ink and stating, 'Golfers and Sportsmen Paradise, MOUNT PLYMOUTH LODGE and COUNTRY CLUB, Sorrento, Florida' has been overprinted with a design in purple ink, and the name of the new school printed beneath. Notice that the wing with the lobby is referred to as the east wing. This wing actually sat in a northwest-southeast orientation, but did face east. |
